Chapter 9

That is, God again protects Israel, as in Egypt. Why does He not protect the Church? - because the church is either already admired (as most experts teach), and maybe the church and Israel are one.

Rev 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

We have already met this angel in the book of Exodus.

Exo 12:23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

Rev 9:15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

Rev 6:8 … and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

That is, for the first time ¼ died, therefore, there remained ¾. Of them, ⅓ died, that is, ½ of humanity died. For example. There were 40 people, ¼ died, there were 30 left. Then of the remaining 30 people ⅓ died, there are 20. That is, ½ died from the original 40.

Rev 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

That is, there will be a chance to repent. No question: why such ulcers? And the question: why is it the stubbornness of people? Do you want people with a proud temper to spend eternity with us?

Is 1:5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

People still have the freedom: to accept - to reject. God would be unjust if this day came people suddenly. He warns, but not suppressing free will. No one will be under pressure to praise God.
God is a zealot and He breaks down all wrong ground, as in Exodus.
