Chapter 17 - Court over the great the mother of harlots

This is God's judgment on the world religious system. Jesus accepted every sinner, the only one He did not accept in any form, reproached, set as a negative example - the religious. The whore sits on the Roman empire, it is not disturbed by blasphemous names …

v. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

v. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden bowl in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

The purple is royal clothes, it is enriched, the bowl of impurity is its goals, not sublime, but low. It's not where she went, but where she came.

v. 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Babylon is the religion of peace. Mother abominations - religion gave birth to abominations.

v. 6 … woman drunken with the blood of the saints …

v. 8 People will be surprised that the whole world was already habitually atheistic, when suddenly religion rose
v. 9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
Very similar to Rome, very similar to the Roman Pope, very similar to Christianity.

v. 11 number 8 - Sunday..
v. 12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

Rome broke up into 10 kingdoms, but it will be restored, again 10 kingdoms, but the same ones, this is the same image of the empire. Why is Europe influential? By habit, we are used to living together, we need a leader.

The Roman Empire was divided into 10 kingdoms:

1. Alemany
2. Lombards
3. Burgundy
4. Vandals
5. Visigoths
6. Gerula
7. Ostrogoths
8. Saxons
9. Sves
10. Franks

v. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
United Europe is a good, bad foundation for this unity.

v. 14 Religion struggles with its rival for the souls of people, with Christ. With Jesus, the real kings go, the faithful and the chosen ones, this is understandable. But the same people are going to a feast. This is for someone a fight, for someone a feast.
v. 15 Water - nations.

v. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
As put, and removed. She put her not for great love and faith, but for the benefit of that moment.

v. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will …
Once God hardened the heart of Pharaoh

Pr 19:21 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Pr 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
