Old Testament - the translation is based on Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (fünfte verbesserte Auflage, 1997).
In some cases (extremely rare), where the Hebrew text was unclear - ancient translations or the most reliable and justified reconstructions developed by modern textual criticism of the Old Testament.

New Testament - Nestle-Aland 26 (The Greek New Testament - fourth revised edition, Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft, Stuttgart, 1994).

The first and highest quality translation of the Bible into modern Russian.

Interdenominational translation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Kulakov dreamed of making a new translation, and attracted leading biblical scholars of various Christian denominations to the work.

I checked the controversial points in different translations, Kulakov translated as close to the source as possible.
Where in the original it says YHWH, here it says THE LORD in capital letters. If Adonai is used in the original, Lord will appear here in the usual spelling.

There are familiar stories in the Bible that we are accustomed to and that we love, but these are late insertions; they were not in the early manuscripts.
For example, the end of the Gospel of Mark or the story of the woman caught in adultery in John (He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her). Such places are marked with special quotation marks.

Translation history

Mikhail Petrovich Kulakov served 5 years for his faith. After the amnesty, he was elected head of the Seventh-day Adventists.
1990 - Kulakov takes part in the founding meeting and becomes one of the founders of the Russian Bible Society.
Since 1998 – Honorary Member of the Board of the RBO.
In 1992, he left his position in the church in order to devote himself entirely to translating the Bible into modern Russian.
Leading biblical scholars of various denominations were involved in the translation to ensure that the translation was as accurate and non-denominational as possible.

Mikhail Petrovich Kulakov is the only person who devoted the main part of his life only to translating the Bible.

During his lifetime, Kulakov only saw the published New Testament. His work was continued by his son Mikhail Mikhailovich.
As of today, the translation is completely completed and the 2nd edition has already been published.
An audio version was also released - on Yandex.Disk.
