3"You shall send^H7971 away^H7971 both^H4480 male^H2145 and female;^H5347 you shall send^H7971 them outside^{H413H4480H2351} the camp^H4264 so that they will not defile^H2930 their camp^H4264 where^H834 I dwell^H7931 in their midst.^H8432"
4And the sons^H1121 of Israel^H3478 did^H6213 so^H3651 and sent^H7971 them outside^{H413H4480H2351} the camp;^H4264 just^H9201 as the Lord^H3068 had spoken^H1696 to Moses,^H4872 thus^H3651 the sons^H1121 of Israel^H3478 did.^H6213
5Then the Lord^H3068 spoke^H1696 to Moses,^H4872 saying,^H559
6"Speak^H1696 to the sons^H1121 of Israel,^H3478 'When^H3588 a man^H376 or^H176 woman^H802 commits^H6213 any^H4480H3605 of the sins^H9128 of mankind,^H120 acting^H4603 unfaithfully^H4604 against the Lord,^H3068 and that person^H5315 is guilty,^H816
7then he shall confess^H3034 his sins^H9128 which^H834 he has committed,^H6213 and he shall make^H7725 restitution^H7725 in full^H7218 for his wrong,^H817 and add^H3254 to it one-fifth of it, and give^H5414 [it] to him whom^H834 he has wronged.^H816
8'But if^H518 the man^H376 has^H369 no^H369 relative^H1350 to whom restitution^H7725 may be made^H7725 for the wrong,^H817 the restitution^H7725 which is made^H7725 for the wrong^H817 [must go] to the Lord^H3068 for the priest,^H3548 besides^H4480H905 the ram^H9012 of atonement,^H3725 by which^H834 atonement^H3722 is made^H3722 for him.
9'Also every^H3605 contribution^H8641 pertaining to all^H3605 the holy^H6944 [gifts] of the sons^H1121 of Israel,^H3478 which^H834 they offer^H7126 to the priest,^H3548 shall be his.
10'So every^H376 man^H376's holy^H6944 [gifts] shall be his; whatever^H834 any^H376 man gives^H5414 to the priest,^H3548 it becomes^H1961 his.' "
11Then the Lord^H3068 spoke^H1696 to Moses,^H4872 saying,^H559
12"Speak^H1696 to the sons^H1121 of Israel,^H3478 and say^H559 to them, 'If^H3588 any^H376 man's wife^H802 goes^H7847 astray^H7847 and is unfaithful^H4604 to him,
13and a man^H376 has^H7901 intercourse^H2233H7902 with her and it is hidden^H5956 from the eyes^H5869 of her husband^H376 and she is undetected,^H5641 although she has defiled^H2930 herself,^H1931 and there^H369 is no^H369 witness^H5707 against her and she has not been caught^H8610 in the act,
14if a spirit^H7307 of jealousy^H7068 comes^H5674 over^H5921 him and he is jealous^H7065 of his wife^H802 when she has defiled^H2930 herself, or^H176 if a spirit^H7307 of jealousy^H7068 comes^H5674 over^H5921 him and he is jealous^H7065 of his wife^H802 when she has not defiled^H2930 herself,
15the man^H376 shall then bring^H935 his wife^H802 to the priest,^H3548 and shall bring^H935 [as] an offering^H7133 for her one-tenth of an ephah^H374 of barley^H8184 meal;^H7058 he shall not pour^H3332 oil^H8081 on it, nor^H3808 put^H5414 frankincense^H3828 on it, for it is a grain offering^H4503 of jealousy,^H7068 a grain offering^H4503 of memorial,^H2146 a reminder^H2142 of iniquity.^H5771
16'Then the priest^H3548 shall bring^H7126 her near^H7126 and have her stand^H5975 before^H6440 the Lord,^H3068
17and the priest^H3548 shall take^H3947 holy^H6918 water^H4325 in an earthenware^H2789 vessel;^H3627 and he shall take^H3947 some^H4480 of the dust^H6083 that is on the floor^H7172 of the tabernacle^H4908 and put^H5414 [it] into the water.^H4325

19'And the priest^H3548 shall have her take^H7650 an oath^H7650 and shall say^H559 to the woman,^H802 "If^H518 no^H3808 man^H376 has lain^H7901 with you and if^H518 you have not gone^H7847 astray^H7847 into uncleanness,^H2932 [being] under^H8478 [the authority of] your husband,^H376 be immune^H5352 to this^H428 water^H4325 of bitterness^H4751 that brings^H779 a curse;^H779
20if^H3588 you, however, have gone^H7847 astray,^H7847 [being] under^H8478 [the authority of] your husband,^H376 and if^H3588 you have defiled^H2930 yourself and a man^H376 other^H1107 than^H1107 your husband^H376 has^H5414 had^H5414 intercourse^H7903 with you "
21(then the priest^H3548 shall have the woman^H802 swear^H7650 with the oath^H7621 of the curse,^H423 and the priest^H3548 shall say^H559 to the woman^H802), "the Lord^H3068 make^H5414 you a curse^H423 and an oath^H7621 among^H8432 your people^H5971 by the Lord's making^H5414 your thigh^H3409 waste^H5307 away^H5307 and your abdomen^H990 swell;^H6639
22and this^H428 water^H4325 that brings^H779 a curse^H779 shall go^H935 into your stomach,^H4578 and make your abdomen^H990 swell^H6638 and your thigh^H3409 waste^H5307 away.^H5307 "And the woman^H802 shall say,^H559 "Amen.^H543 Amen.^H543"
23'The priest^H3548 shall then write^H3789 these^H428 curses^H423 on a scroll,^H5612 and he shall wash^H4229 them off^H4229 into the water^H4325 of bitterness.^H4751
24'Then he shall make the woman^H802 drink^H8248 the water^H4325 of bitterness^H4751 that brings^H779 a curse,^H779 so that the water^H4325 which brings^H779 a curse^H779 will go^H935 into her and [cause] bitterness.^H4751

26and the priest^H3548 shall take^H7061 a handful^H7061 of the grain offering^H4503 as its memorial^H234 offering^H234 and offer^H6999 [it] up in smoke^H6999 on the altar,^H4196 and afterward^H310 he shall make the woman^H802 drink^H8248 the water.^H4325
27'When he has made her drink^H8248 the water,^H4325 then it shall come^H1961 about, if^H518 she has defiled^H2930 herself and has been^H4603 unfaithful^H4604 to her husband,^H376 that the water^H4325 which brings^H779 a curse^H779 shall go^H935 into her and [cause] bitterness,^H4751 and her abdomen^H990 will swell^H6638 and her thigh^H3409 will waste^H5307 away,^H5307 and the woman^H802 will become^H1961 a curse^H423 among^H7130 her people.^H5971
28'But if^H518 the woman^H802 has not defiled^H2930 herself and is clean,^H2889 she will then be free^H5352 and conceive^H2232 children.^H2233
29'This^H2088 is the law^H8451 of jealousy:^H7068 when^H834 a wife,^H802 [being] under^H8478 [the authority of] her husband,^H376 goes^H7847 astray^H7847 and defiles^H2930 herself,
30or^H176 when^H834 a spirit^H7307 of jealousy^H7068 comes^H5674 over^H5921 a man^H376 and he is jealous^H7065 of his wife,^H802 he shall then make the woman^H802 stand^H5975 before^H6440 the Lord,^H3068 and the priest^H3548 shall apply^H6213 all^H3605 this^H2088 law^H8451 to her.
31'Moreover, the man^H376 shall be free^H5352 from guilt,^H5771 but that woman^H802 shall bear^H5375 her guilt.^H5771' "
