² אָהַ֤בְתִּי H157 I have loved אֶתְכֶם֙ H853 אָמַ֣ר H559 Yet ye say יְהוָ֔ה H3068 the LORD וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם H559 say בַּמָּ֣ה H4100 How אֲהַבְתָּ֑נוּ H157 Wherein hast thou loved הֲלוֹא־ H3808 not אָ֨ח H251 another עֵשָׂ֤ו H6215 us? not Esau לְיַֽעֲקֹב֙ H3290 Jacob's נְאֻם־ H5002 you saith יְהוָ֔ה H3068 the LORD וָאֹהַ֖ב H157 yet I loved אֶֽת־ H853 יַעֲקֹֽב׃ H3290 Jacob

³ וְאֶת־ H853 עֵשָׂ֖ו H6215 Esau שָׂנֵ֑אתִי H8130 And I hated וָאָשִׂ֤ים H7760 and laid אֶת־ H853 הָרָיו֙ H2022 his mountains שְׁמָמָ֔ה H8077 waste וְאֶת־ H853 נַחֲלָת֖וֹ H5159 and his heritage לְתַנּ֥וֹת H8568 for the dragons מִדְבָּֽר׃ H4057 of the wilderness

⁴ כִּֽי־ H3588 Though תֹאמַ֨ר H559 saith אֱד֜וֹם H123 Whereas Edom רֻשַּׁ֗שְׁנוּ H7567 We are impoverished וְנָשׁוּב֙ H7725 but we will return וְנִבְנֶ֣ה H1129 and build חֳרָב֔וֹת H2723 the desolate places כֹּ֤ה H3541 thus אָמַר֙ H559 thus saith יְהוָ֣ה H3068 the LORD צְבָא֔וֹת H6635 of hosts הֵ֥מָּה H1992 They יִבְנ֖וּ H1129 They shall build וַאֲנִ֣י H589 I אֶהֱר֑וֹס H2040 but I will throw down וְקָרְא֤וּ H7121 and they shall call לָהֶם֙ H0 גְּב֣וּל H1366 them The border רִשְׁעָ֔ה H7564 of wickedness וְהָעָ֛ם H5971 and The people אֲשֶׁר־ H834 whom זָעַ֥ם H2194 hath indignation יְהוָ֖ה H3068 against whom the LORD עַד־ H5704 for עוֹלָֽם׃ H5769 ever

⁵ וְעֵינֵיכֶ֖ם H5869 And your eyes תִּרְאֶ֑ינָה H7200 shall see וְאַתֶּ֤ם H859 and you תֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ H559 and ye shall say יִגְדַּ֣ל H1431 will be magnified יְהוָ֔ה H3068 The LORD מֵעַ֖ל H5921 and לִגְב֥וּל H1366 from the border יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 of Israel

⁷ מַגִּישִׁ֤ים H5066 Ye offer עַֽל־ H5921 upon מִזְבְּחִי֙ H4196 upon mine altar לֶ֣חֶם H3899 bread מְגֹאָ֔ל H1351 polluted וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם H559 and ye say בַּמֶּ֣ה H4100 How גֵֽאַלְנ֑וּךָ H1351 Wherein have we polluted בֶּאֱמָרְכֶ֕ם H559 thee? In that ye say שֻׁלְחַ֥ן H7979 The table יְהוָ֖ה H3068 of the LORD נִבְזֶ֥ה H959 contemptible הֽוּא׃ H1931 he

⁸ וְכִֽי־ H3588 when תַגִּשׁ֨וּן H5066 And if ye offer עִוֵּ֤ר H5787 the blind לִזְבֹּ֙חַ֙ H2076 for sacrifice אֵ֣ין H369 else רָ֔ע H7451 adversity וְכִ֥י H3588 when תַגִּ֛ישׁוּ H5066 present פִּסֵּ֥חַ H6455 the lame וְחֹלֶ֖ה H2470 and sick אֵ֣ין H369 else רָ֑ע H7451 adversity הַקְרִיבֵ֨הוּ H7126 approach נָ֜א H4994 thy לְפֶחָתֶ֗ךָ H6346 it now unto thy governor הֲיִרְצְךָ֙ H7521 will he be pleased א֚וֹ H176 Or הֲיִשָּׂ֣א H5375 with thee or accept פָנֶ֔יךָ H6440 accept אָמַ֖ר H559 answer יְהוָ֥ה H3068 the LORD צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 of hosts

¹¹ כִּ֣י H3588 from מִמִּזְרַח־ H4217 For from the rising שֶׁ֜מֶשׁ H8121 of the sun וְעַד־ H5704 even מְבוֹא֗וֹ H3996 even unto the going down גָּד֤וֹל H1419 great שְׁמִי֙ H8034 of the same my name בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם H1471 among the Gentiles וּבְכָל־ H3605 every מָק֗וֹם H4725 and in every place מֻקְטָ֥ר H6999 incense מֻגָּ֛שׁ H5066 offered לִשְׁמִ֖י H8034 unto my name וּמִנְחָ֣ה H4503 offering טְהוֹרָ֑ה H2889 and a pure כִּֽי־ H3588 for גָד֤וֹל H1419 great שְׁמִי֙ H8034 for my name בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם H1471 among the heathen אָמַ֖ר H559 saith יְהוָ֥ה H3068 the LORD צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 of hosts

¹² וְאַתֶּ֖ם H859 you מְחַלְּלִ֣ים H2490 But ye have profaned אוֹת֑וֹ H853 בֶּאֱמָרְכֶ֗ם H559 it in that ye say שֻׁלְחַ֤ן H7979 The table אֲדֹנָי֙ H136 of the Lord מְגֹאָ֣ל H1351 polluted ה֔וּא H1931 he וְנִיב֖וֹ H5108 and the fruit נִבְזֶ֥ה H959 contemptible אָכְלֽוֹ׃ H400 thereof his meat

¹³ וַאֲמַרְתֶּם֩ H559 Ye said הִנֵּ֨ה H2009 behold מַתְּלָאָ֜ה H4972 also Behold what a weariness וְהִפַּחְתֶּ֣ם H5301 and ye have snuffed אוֹת֗וֹ H853 אָמַר֙ H559 at it saith יְהוָ֣ה H3068 the LORD צְבָא֔וֹת H6635 of hosts וַהֲבֵאתֶ֣ם H935 and ye brought גָּז֗וּל H1497 torn וְאֶת־ H853 הַפִּסֵּ֙חַ֙ H6455 and the lame וְאֶת־ H853 הַ֣חוֹלֶ֔ה H2470 and the sick וַהֲבֵאתֶ֖ם H935 thus ye brought אֶת־ H853 הַמִּנְחָ֑ה H4503 an offering הַאֶרְצֶ֥ה H7521 should I accept אוֹתָ֛הּ H853 מִיֶּדְכֶ֖ם H3027 able אָמַ֥ר H559 say יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 the LORD ס

¹⁴ וְאָר֣וּר H779 But cursed נוֹכֵ֗ל H5230 the deceiver וְיֵ֤שׁ H3426 which בְּעֶדְרוֹ֙ H5739 hath in his flock זָכָ֔ר H2145 a male וְנֹדֵ֛ר H5087 and voweth וְזֹבֵ֥חַ H2076 and sacrificeth מָשְׁחָ֖ת H7843 a corrupt thing לַֽאדֹנָ֑י H136 unto the Lord כִּי֩ H3588 for מֶ֨לֶךְ H4428 King גָּד֜וֹל H1419 for I a great אָ֗נִי H589 I אָמַר֙ H559 saith יְהוָ֣ה H3068 the LORD צְבָא֔וֹת H6635 of hosts וּשְׁמִ֖י H8034 and my name נוֹרָ֥א H3372 dreadful בַגּוֹיִֽם׃ H1471 among the heathen

¹ וְעַתָּ֗ה H6258 and now אֲלֵיכֶ֛ם H413 about הַמִּצְוָ֥ה H4687 this commandment הַזֹּ֖את H2063 O הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃ H3548 And now O ye priests

² אִם־ H518 If לֹ֣א H3808 not תִשְׁמְע֡וּ H8085 If ye will not hear וְאִם־ H518 and if לֹא֩ H3808 not תָשִׂ֨ימוּ H7760 and if ye will not lay עַל־ H5921 and לֵ֜ב H3820 to heart לָתֵ֧ת H5414 to give כָּב֣וֹד H3519 glory לִשְׁמִ֗י H8034 unto my name אָמַר֙ H559 saith יְהוָ֣ה H3068 the LORD צְבָא֔וֹת H6635 of hosts וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֤י H7971 I will even send בָכֶם֙ H0 אֶת־ H853 הַמְּאֵרָ֔ה H3994 a curse וְאָרוֹתִ֖י H779 upon you and I will curse אֶת־ H853 בִּרְכֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם H1293 your blessings וְגַם֙ H1571 and indeed אָרוֹתִ֔יהָ H779 yea I have cursed כִּ֥י H3588 them because אֵינְכֶ֖ם H369 are not שָׂמִ֥ים H7760 them already because ye do not lay עַל־ H5921 to לֵֽב׃ H3820 to heart

³ הִנְנִ֨י H2005 I am going גֹעֵ֤ר H1605 Behold I will corrupt לָכֶם֙ H0 אֶת־ H853 הַזֶּ֔רַע H2233 your seed וְזֵרִ֤יתִי H2219 and spread פֶ֙רֶשׁ֙ H6569 dung עַל־ H5921 on פְּנֵיכֶ֔ם H6440 upon your faces פֶּ֖רֶשׁ H6569 the dung חַגֵּיכֶ֑ם H2282 of your solemn feasts וְנָשָׂ֥א H5375 and shall take you away אֶתְכֶ֖ם H853 אֵלָֽיו׃ H413 then

⁴ וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם H3045 And ye shall know כִּ֚י H3588 for שִׁלַּ֣חְתִּי H7971 that I have sent אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם H413 about אֵ֖ת H853 הַמִּצְוָ֣ה H4687 this commandment הַזֹּ֑את H2063 likewise לִֽהְי֤וֹת H1961 may continue בְּרִיתִי֙ H1285 unto you that my covenant אֶת־ H854 with לֵוִ֔י H3878 might be with Levi אָמַ֖ר H559 saith יְהוָ֥ה H3068 the LORD צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 of hosts

⁵ בְּרִיתִ֣י ׀ H1285 My covenant הָיְתָ֣ה H1961 become אִתּ֗וֹ H854 for הַֽחַיִּים֙ H2416 was with him of life וְהַ֨שָּׁל֔וֹם H7965 and peace וָאֶתְּנֵֽם־ H5414 and I gave ל֥וֹ H0 מוֹרָ֖א H4172 them to him the fear וַיִּֽירָאֵ֑נִי H3372 wherewith he feared וּמִפְּנֵ֥י H6440 before שְׁמִ֖י H8034 my name נִחַ֥ת H2865 me and was afraid הֽוּא׃ H1931 he

⁶ תּוֹרַ֤ת H8451 The law אֱמֶת֙ H571 of truth הָיְתָ֣ה H1961 was in בְּפִ֔יהוּ H6310 was in his mouth וְעַוְלָ֖ה H5766 and iniquity לֹא־ H3808 was not נִמְצָ֣א H4672 was not found בִשְׂפָתָ֑יו H8193 in his lips בְּשָׁל֤וֹם H7965 with me in peace וּבְמִישׁוֹר֙ H4334 and equity הָלַ֣ךְ H1980 he walked אִתִּ֔י H854 for וְרַבִּ֖ים H7227 many הֵשִׁ֥יב H7725 away מֵעָוֹֽן׃ H5771 from iniquity

⁷ כִּֽי־ H3588 For שִׂפְתֵ֤י H8193 lips כֹהֵן֙ H3548 For the priest's יִשְׁמְרוּ־ H8104 should keep דַ֔עַת H1847 knowledge וְתוֹרָ֖ה H8451 the law יְבַקְשׁ֣וּ H1245 and they should seek מִפִּ֑יהוּ H6310 at his mouth כִּ֛י H3588 for מַלְאַ֥ךְ H4397 for he the messenger יְהוָֽה־ H3068 of the LORD צְבָא֖וֹת H6635 of hosts הֽוּא׃ H1931 he

⁸ וְאַתֶּם֙ H859 you סַרְתֶּ֣ם H5493 But ye are departed מִן־ H4480 from הַדֶּ֔רֶךְ H1870 out of the way הִכְשַׁלְתֶּ֥ם H3782 to stumble רַבִּ֖ים H7227 ye have caused many בַּתּוֹרָ֑ה H8451 at the law שִֽׁחַתֶּם֙ H7843 ye have corrupted בְּרִ֣ית H1285 the covenant הַלֵּוִ֔י H3878 of Levi אָמַ֖ר H559 saith יְהוָ֥ה H3068 the LORD צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 of hosts

⁹ וְגַם־ H1571 also אֲנִ֞י H589 I נָתַ֧תִּי H5414 Therefore have I also made אֶתְכֶ֛ם H853 נִבְזִ֥ים H959 you contemptible וּשְׁפָלִ֖ים H8217 and base לְכָל־ H3605 all הָעָ֑ם H5971 before all the people כְּפִ֗י H6310 according אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 after אֵֽינְכֶם֙ H369 are not שֹׁמְרִ֣ים H8104 as ye have not kept אֶת־ H854 for דְּרָכַ֔י H1870 my ways וְנֹשְׂאִ֥ים H5375 are showing פָּנִ֖ים H6440 accept בַּתּוֹרָֽה׃ H8451 in the law פ

¹⁰ הֲל֨וֹא H3808 not אָ֤ב H1 fathers אֶחָד֙ H259 Have we not all one לְכֻלָּ֔נוּ H3605 all הֲל֛וֹא H3808 not אֵ֥ל H410 God אֶֽחָ֖ד H259 have one בְּרָאָ֑נוּ H1254 created מַדּ֗וּעַ H4069 Why נִבְגַּד֙ H898 us? why do we deal treacherously אִ֣ישׁ H376 every man בְּאָחִ֔יו H251 against his brother לְחַלֵּ֖ל H2490 by profaning בְּרִ֥ית H1285 the covenant אֲבֹתֵֽינוּ׃ H1 fathers

¹¹ בָּגְדָ֣ה H898 hath dealt treacherously יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 Judah וְתוֹעֵבָ֛ה H8441 and an abomination נֶעֶשְׂתָ֥ה H6213 is committed בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 in Israel וּבִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם H3389 and in Jerusalem כִּ֣י ׀ H3588 for חִלֵּ֣ל H2490 hath profaned יְהוּדָ֗ה H3063 for Judah קֹ֤דֶשׁ H6944 the holiness יְהוָה֙ H3068 of the LORD אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which אָהֵ֔ב H157 which he loved וּבָעַ֖ל H1166 and hath married בַּת־ H1323 the daughter אֵ֥ל H410 god נֵכָֽר׃ H5236 of a strange

¹² יַכְרֵ֨ת H3772 will cut off יְהוָ֜ה H3068 The LORD לָאִ֨ישׁ H376 the man אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 who יַעֲשֶׂ֙נָּה֙ H6213 that doeth עֵ֣ר H5782 this the master וְעֹנֶ֔ה H6030 and the scholar מֵאָהֳלֵ֖י H168 out of the tabernacles יַֽעֲקֹ֑ב H3290 of Jacob וּמַגִּ֣ישׁ H5066 and him that offereth מִנְחָ֔ה H4503 an offering לַֽיהוָ֖ה H3068 unto the LORD צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 of hosts פ

¹³ וְזֹאת֙ H2063 likewise שֵׁנִ֣ית H8145 again תַּֽעֲשׂ֔וּ H6213 And this have ye done כַּסּ֤וֹת H3680 covering דִּמְעָה֙ H1832 with tears אֶת־ H853 מִזְבַּ֣ח H4196 the altar יְהוָ֔ה H3068 of the LORD בְּכִ֖י H1065 with weeping וַֽאֲנָקָ֑ה H603 and with crying out מֵאֵ֣ין H369 no ע֗וֹד H5750 longer פְּנוֹת֙ H6437 insomuch that he regardeth אֶל־ H413 about הַמִּנְחָ֔ה H4503 not the offering וְלָקַ֥חַת H3947 any more or receiveth רָצ֖וֹן H7522 with good will מִיֶּדְכֶֽם׃ H3027 at your hand

¹⁴ וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם H559 Yet ye say עַל־ H5921 For מָ֑ה H4100 what עַ֡ל H5921 and כִּי־ H3588 for יְהוָה֩ H3068 the LORD הֵעִ֨יד H5749 hath been witness בֵּינְךָ֜ H996 between וּבֵ֣ין ׀ H996 between אֵ֣שֶׁת H802 between thee and the wife נְעוּרֶ֗יךָ H5271 of thy youth אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 whom אַתָּה֙ H859 you בָּגַ֣דְתָּה H898 against whom thou hast dealt treacherously בָּ֔הּ H0 וְהִ֥יא H1931 she חֲבֶרְתְּךָ֖ H2278 yet she thy companion וְאֵ֥שֶׁת H802 and the wife בְּרִיתֶֽךָ׃ H1285 of thy covenant

¹⁵ וְלֹא־ H3808 not אֶחָ֣ד H259 one עָשָׂ֗ה H6213 And did not he make וּשְׁאָ֥ר H7605 remnant ר֙וּחַ֙ H7307 of the spirit ל֔וֹ H0 וּמָה֙ H4100 and what הָֽאֶחָ֔ד H259 did one מְבַקֵּ֖שׁ H1245 was seeking זֶ֣רַע H2233 seed אֱלֹהִ֑ים H430 a godly וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּם֙ H8104 Therefore take heed בְּר֣וּחֲכֶ֔ם H7307 to your spirit וּבְאֵ֥שֶׁת H802 against the wife נְעוּרֶ֖יךָ H5271 of his youth אַל־ H408 no יִבְגֹּֽד׃ H898 and let none deal treacherously

¹⁶ כִּֽי־ H3588 for שָׂנֵ֣א H8130 that he hateth שַׁלַּ֗ח H7971 putting away אָמַ֤ר H559 saith יְהוָה֙ H3068 For the LORD אֱלֹהֵ֣י H430 the God יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 of Israel וְכִסָּ֤ה H3680 for covereth חָמָס֙ H2555 violence עַל־ H5921 and לְבוּשׁ֔וֹ H3830 with his garment אָמַ֖ר H559 saith יְהוָ֣ה H3068 the LORD צְבָא֑וֹת H6635 of hosts וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּ֥ם H8104 therefore take heed בְּרוּחֲכֶ֖ם H7307 to your spirit וְלֹ֥א H3808 not תִבְגֹּֽדוּ׃ H898 that ye deal not treacherously ס

¹⁷ הוֹגַעְתֶּ֤ם H3021 Ye have wearied יְהוָה֙ H3068 the LORD בְּדִבְרֵיכֶ֔ם H1697 with your words וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם H559 Yet ye say בַּמָּ֣ה H4100 How הוֹגָ֑עְנוּ H3021 Wherein have we wearied בֶּאֱמָרְכֶ֗ם H559 ? When ye say כָּל־ H3605 Everyone עֹ֨שֵׂה H6213 Every one that doeth רָ֜ע H7451 evil ט֣וֹב ׀ H2896 good בְּעֵינֵ֣י H5869 in the sight יְהוָ֗ה H3068 of the LORD וּבָהֶם֙ H0 ה֣וּא H1931 and He חָפֵ֔ץ H2654 and he delighteth א֥וֹ H176 or אַיֵּ֖ה H346 Where אֱלֹהֵ֥י H430 in them or Where the God הַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ H4941 adversary

¹ הִנְנִ֤י H2005 I am going שֹׁלֵחַ֙ H7971 Behold I will send מַלְאָכִ֔י H4397 my messenger וּפִנָּה־ H6437 and he shall prepare דֶ֖רֶךְ H1870 the way לְפָנָ֑י H6440 before וּפִתְאֹם֩ H6597 shall suddenly יָב֨וֹא H935 come אֶל־ H413 to his הֵיכָל֜וֹ H1964 to his temple הָאָד֣וֹן ׀ H113 me and the Lord אֲשֶׁר־ H834 whom אַתֶּ֣ם H859 you מְבַקְשִׁ֗ים H1245 whom ye seek וּמַלְאַ֨ךְ H4397 even the messenger הַבְּרִ֜ית H1285 of the covenant אֲשֶׁר־ H834 whom אַתֶּ֤ם H859 you חֲפֵצִים֙ H2655 whom ye delight הִנֵּה־ H2009 Behold בָ֔א H935 in behold he shall come אָמַ֖ר H559 saith יְהוָ֥ה H3068 the LORD צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 of hosts

² וּמִ֤י H4310 who מְכַלְכֵּל֙ H3557 But who may abide אֶת־ H853 י֣וֹם H3117 the day בּוֹא֔וֹ H935 of his coming וּמִ֥י H4310 who הָעֹמֵ֖ד H5975 ? and who shall stand בְּהֵרָֽאוֹת֑וֹ H7200 when he appeareth כִּֽי־ H3588 for הוּא֙ H1931 he כְּאֵ֣שׁ H784 fire מְצָרֵ֔ף H6884 ? for he like a refiner's וּכְבֹרִ֖ית H1287 soap מְכַבְּסִֽים׃ H3526 and like fullers'

³ וְיָשַׁ֨ב H3427 And he shall sit מְצָרֵ֤ף H6884 a refiner וּמְטַהֵר֙ H2891 and purifier כֶּ֔סֶף H3701 of silver וְטִהַ֤ר H2891 and he shall purify אֶת־ H853 בְּנֵֽי־ H1121 the sons לֵוִי֙ H3878 of Levi וְזִקַּ֣ק H2212 and purge אֹתָ֔ם H853 כַּזָּהָ֖ב H2091 them as gold וְכַכָּ֑סֶף H3701 and silver וְהָיוּ֙ H1961 become לַֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 unto the LORD מַגִּישֵׁ֥י H5066 that they may offer מִנְחָ֖ה H4503 an offering בִּצְדָקָֽה׃ H6666 in righteousness

⁴ וְעָֽרְבָה֙ H6149 be pleasant לַֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 unto the LORD מִנְחַ֥ת H4503 Then shall the offering יְהוּדָ֖ה H3063 of Judah וִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם H3389 and Jerusalem כִּימֵ֣י H3117 as in the days עוֹלָ֔ם H5769 of old וּכְשָׁנִ֖ים H8141 years קַדְמֹנִיּֽוֹת׃ H6931 and as in former

⁵ וְקָרַבְתִּ֣י H7126 And I will come near אֲלֵיכֶם֮ H413 to you לַמִּשְׁפָּט֒ H4941 to you to judgment וְהָיִ֣יתִי ׀ H1961 become עֵ֣ד H5707 witness מְמַהֵ֗ר H4116 and I will be a swift בַּֽמְכַשְּׁפִים֙ H3784 against the sorcerers וּבַמְנָ֣אֲפִ֔ים H5003 and against the adulterers וּבַנִּשְׁבָּעִ֖ים H7650 swearers לַשָּׁ֑קֶר H8267 and against false וּבְעֹשְׁקֵ֣י H6231 and against those that oppress שְׂכַר־ H7939 in wages שָׂ֠כִיר H7916 the hireling אַלְמָנָ֨ה H490 the widow וְיָת֤וֹם H3490 and the fatherless וּמַטֵּי־ H5186 and that turn aside גֵר֙ H1616 the stranger וְלֹ֣א H3808 not יְרֵא֔וּנִי H3372 and fear אָמַ֖ר H559 not me saith יְהוָ֥ה H3068 the LORD צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 of hosts

⁶ כִּ֛י H3588 for אֲנִ֥י H589 I יְהוָ֖ה H3068 For I the LORD לֹ֣א H3808 not שָׁנִ֑יתִי H8138 I change וְאַתֶּ֥ם H859 O בְּנֵֽי־ H1121 not therefore ye sons יַעֲקֹ֖ב H3290 of Jacob לֹ֥א H3808 are not כְלִיתֶֽם׃ H3615 are not consumed

⁷ לְמִימֵ֨י H3117 Even from the days אֲבֹתֵיכֶ֜ם H1 of your fathers סַרְתֶּ֤ם H5493 ye are gone away מֵֽחֻקַּי֙ H2706 from mine ordinances וְלֹ֣א H3808 not שְׁמַרְתֶּ֔ם H8104 and have not kept שׁ֤וּבוּ H7725 Return אֵלַי֙ H413 to me וְאָשׁ֣וּבָה H7725 unto me and I will return אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם H413 to you אָמַ֖ר H559 unto you saith יְהוָ֣ה H3068 the LORD צְבָא֑וֹת H6635 of hosts וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם H559 But ye said בַּמֶּ֥ה H4100 How נָשֽׁוּב׃ H7725 Wherein shall we return

⁸ הֲיִקְבַּ֨ע H6906 rob אָדָ֜ם H120 Will a man אֱלֹהִ֗ים H430 angels כִּ֤י H3588 for אַתֶּם֙ H859 you קֹבְעִ֣ים H6906 Wherein have we robbed אֹתִ֔י H853 וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם H559 me But ye say בַּמֶּ֣ה H4100 How קְבַעֲנ֑וּךָ H6906 robbed הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֖ר H4643 thee? In tithes וְהַתְּרוּמָֽה׃ H8641 and offerings

⁹ בַּמְּאֵרָה֙ H3994 with a curse אַתֶּ֣ם H859 You נֵֽאָרִ֔ים H779 Ye cursed וְאֹתִ֖י H853 אַתֶּ֣ם H859 you קֹבְעִ֑ים H6906 for ye have robbed הַגּ֖וֹי H1471 me this whole nation כֻּלּֽוֹ׃ H3605 the whole

¹⁰ הָבִ֨יאוּ H935 Bring אֶת־ H853 כָּל־ H3605 the whole הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֜ר H4643 ye all the tithes אֶל־ H413 in בֵּ֣ית H1004 in mine house הָאוֹצָ֗ר H214 into the storehouse וִיהִ֥י H1961 become טֶ֙רֶף֙ H2964 that there may be meat בְּבֵיתִ֔י H1004 my house וּבְחָנ֤וּנִי H974 and prove נָא֙ H4994 now בָּזֹ֔את H2063 me now herewith אָמַ֖ר H559 saith יְהוָ֣ה H3068 the LORD צְבָא֑וֹת H6635 of hosts אִם־ H518 if לֹ֧א H3808 I will not אֶפְתַּ֣ח H6605 if I will not open לָכֶ֗ם H0 אֵ֚ת H853 אֲרֻבּ֣וֹת H699 you the windows הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם H8064 of heaven וַהֲרִיקֹתִ֥י H7324 and pour you out לָכֶ֛ם H0 בְּרָכָ֖ה H1293 a blessing עַד־ H5704 until בְּלִי־ H1097 corruption דָֽי׃ H1767 that not enough

¹³ חָזְק֥וּ H2388 have been stout עָלַ֛י H5921 against דִּבְרֵיכֶ֖ם H1697 Your words אָמַ֣ר H559 against me saith יְהוָ֑ה H3068 the LORD וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם H559 Yet ye say מַה־ H4100 What נִּדְבַּ֖רְנוּ H1696 What have we spoken עָלֶֽיךָ׃ H5921 against

¹⁴ אֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם H559 Ye have said שָׁ֖וְא H7723 It vain עֲבֹ֣ד H5647 to serve אֱלֹהִ֑ים H430 God וּמַה־ H4100 and what בֶּ֗צַע H1215 and what profit כִּ֤י H3588 for שָׁמַ֙רְנוּ֙ H8104 that we have kept מִשְׁמַרְתּ֔וֹ H4931 his ordinance וְכִ֤י H3588 for הָלַ֙כְנוּ֙ H1980 and that we have walked קְדֹ֣רַנִּ֔ית H6941 mournfully מִפְּנֵ֖י H6440 before יְהוָ֥ה H3069 God צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 appointed time

¹⁵ וְעַתָּ֕ה H6258 now אֲנַ֖חְנוּ H587 we מְאַשְּׁרִ֣ים H833 happy זֵדִ֑ים H2086 the proud גַּם־ H1571 only נִבְנוּ֙ H1129 are set up עֹשֵׂ֣י H6213 yea they that work רִשְׁעָ֔ה H7564 wickedness גַּ֧ם H1571 also בָּחֲנ֛וּ H974 yea tempt אֱלֹהִ֖ים H430 God וַיִּמָּלֵֽטוּ׃ H4422 are even delivered

¹⁷ וְהָ֣יוּ H1961 become לִ֗י H0 אָמַר֙ H559 And they shall be mine saith יְהוָ֣ה H3068 the LORD צְבָא֔וֹת H6635 of hosts לַיּ֕וֹם H3117 in that day אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that אֲנִ֖י H589 I עֹשֶׂ֣ה H6213 when I make up סְגֻלָּ֑ה H5459 my jewels וְחָמַלְתִּ֣י H2550 and I will spare עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם H5921 and כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ H834 after יַחְמֹ֣ל H2550 spareth אִ֔ישׁ H376 them as a man עַל־ H5921 his own בְּנ֖וֹ H1121 his own son הָעֹבֵ֥ד H5647 that serveth אֹתֽוֹ׃ H853

¹⁸ וְשַׁבְתֶּם֙ H7725 Then shall ye return וּרְאִיתֶ֔ם H7200 and discern בֵּ֥ין H996 between צַדִּ֖יק H6662 between the righteous לְרָשָׁ֑ע H7563 and the wicked בֵּ֚ין H996 between עֹבֵ֣ד H5647 between him that serveth אֱלֹהִ֔ים H430 God לַאֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 who לֹ֥א H3808 does not עֲבָדֽוֹ׃ H5647 and him that serveth ס

¹ כִּֽי־ H3588 For הִנֵּ֤ה H2009 behold הַיּוֹם֙ H3117 For behold the day בָּ֔א H935 cometh בֹּעֵ֖ר H1197 that shall burn כַּתַּנּ֑וּר H8574 as an oven וְהָי֨וּ H1961 become כָל־ H3605 and all זֵדִ֜ים H2086 and all the proud וְכָל־ H3605 and every עֹשֵׂ֤ה H6213 yea and all that do רִשְׁעָה֙ H7564 wickedly קַ֔שׁ H7179 shall be stubble וְלִהַ֨ט H3857 shall burn them up אֹתָ֜ם H853 הַיּ֣וֹם H3117 and the day הַבָּ֗א H935 that cometh אָמַר֙ H559 saith יְהוָ֣ה H3069 God צְבָא֔וֹת H6635 of hosts אֲשֶׁ֛ר H834 so לֹא־ H3808 neither יַעֲזֹ֥ב H5800 that it shall leave לָהֶ֖ם H1992 like שֹׁ֥רֶשׁ H8328 them neither root וְעָנָֽף׃ H6057 nor branch

² וְזָרְחָ֨ה H2224 arise לָכֶ֜ם H0 יִרְאֵ֤י H3373 But unto you that fear שְׁמִי֙ H8034 my name שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ H8121 shall the Sun צְדָקָ֔ה H6666 of righteousness וּמַרְפֵּ֖א H4832 with healing בִּכְנָפֶ֑יהָ H3671 in his wings וִֽיצָאתֶ֥ם H3318 and ye shall go forth וּפִשְׁתֶּ֖ם H6335 and grow up כְּעֶגְלֵ֥י H5695 as calves מַרְבֵּֽק׃ H4770 of the stall

³ וְעַסּוֹתֶ֣ם H6072 And ye shall tread down רְשָׁעִ֔ים H7563 the wicked כִּֽי־ H3588 for יִהְי֣וּ H1961 become אֵ֔פֶר H665 for they shall be ashes תַּ֖חַת H8478 under כַּפּ֣וֹת H3709 under the soles רַגְלֵיכֶ֑ם H7272 of your feet בַּיּוֹם֙ H3117 in the day אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which אֲנִ֣י H589 I am עֹשֶׂ֔ה H6213 that I shall do אָמַ֖ר H559 saith יְהוָ֥ה H3068 the LORD צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 of hosts פ

⁴ זִכְר֕וּ H2142 Remember תּוֹרַ֖ת H8451 ye the law מֹשֶׁ֣ה H4872 of Moses עַבְדִּ֑י H5650 my servant אֲשֶׁר֩ H834 which צִוִּ֨יתִי H6680 which I commanded אוֹת֤וֹ H853 בְחֹרֵב֙ H2722 unto him in Horeb עַל־ H5921 and כָּל־ H3605 for all יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 for all Israel חֻקִּ֖ים H2706 the statutes וּמִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃ H4941 and judgments

⁵ הִנֵּ֤ה H2009 Behold אָֽנֹכִי֙ H595 I שֹׁלֵ֣חַ H7971 Behold I will send לָכֶ֔ם H0 אֵ֖ת H853 אֵלִיָּ֣ה H452 you Elijah הַנָּבִ֑יא H5030 the prophet לִפְנֵ֗י H6440 before בּ֚וֹא H935 the coming י֣וֹם H3117 day יְהוָ֔ה H3068 of the LORD הַגָּד֖וֹל H1419 of the great וְהַנּוֹרָֽא׃ H3372 and dreadful

⁶ וְהֵשִׁ֤יב H7725 And he shall turn לֵב־ H3820 the heart אָבוֹת֙ H1 of the fathers עַל־ H5921 unto בָּנִ֔ים H1121 to the children וְלֵ֥ב H3820 and the heart בָּנִ֖ים H1121 of the children עַל־ H5921 unto אֲבוֹתָ֑ם H1 to their fathers פֶּן־ H6435 so אָב֕וֹא H935 lest I come וְהִכֵּיתִ֥י H5221 and smite אֶת־ H853 הָאָ֖רֶץ H776 the earth חֵֽרֶם׃ H2764 with a curse "
