³ יְהֹוָ֗ה H3068 The LORD אֶ֤רֶךְ H750 slow אַפַּ֙יִם֙ H639 to anger <וּגְדֹול־ כ> (וּגְדָל־ H1419 and great כֹּ֔חַ H1419 and great ק) וְנַקֵּ֖ה H5352 and will not at all לֹ֣א H3808 no יְנַקֶּ֑ה H5352 acquit יְהוָ֗ה H3068 the LORD בְּסוּפָ֤ה H5492 in the whirlwind וּבִשְׂעָרָה֙ H8183 and in the storm דַּרְכּ֔וֹ H1870 hath his way וְעָנָ֖ן H6051 and the clouds אֲבַ֥ק H80 the dust רַגְלָֽיו׃ H7272 of his feet

⁴ גּוֹעֵ֤ר H1605 He rebuketh בַּיָּם֙ H3220 the sea וַֽיַּבְּשֵׁ֔הוּ H3001 and drieth up וְכָל־ H3605 all הַנְּהָר֖וֹת H5104 all the rivers הֶֽחֱרִ֑יב H2717 and maketh it dry אֻמְלַ֤ל H536 weak בָּשָׁן֙ H1316 Bashan וְכַרְמֶ֔ל H3760 and Carmel וּפֶ֥רַח H6525 and the flower לְבָנ֖וֹן H3844 of Lebanon אֻמְלָֽל׃ H536 weak

⁵ הָרִים֙ H2022 The mountains רָעֲשׁ֣וּ H7493 quake מִמֶּ֔נּוּ H4480 because וְהַגְּבָע֖וֹת H1389 at him and the hills הִתְמֹגָ֑גוּ H4127 melt וַתִּשָּׂ֤א H5375 is burned הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ H776 and the earth מִפָּנָ֔יו H6440 at his presence וְתֵבֵ֖ל H8398 yea the world וְכָל־ H3605 and all יֹ֥שְׁבֵי H3427 and all that dwell בָֽהּ׃ H0

⁶ לִפְנֵ֤י H6440 before זַעְמוֹ֙ H2195 angry מִ֣י H4310 Who יַֽעֲמ֔וֹד H5975 Who can stand וּמִ֥י H4310 Who יָק֖וּם H6965 endure בַּחֲר֣וֹן H2740 in the fierceness אַפּ֑וֹ H639 anger חֲמָתוֹ֙ H2534 anger נִתְּכָ֣ה H5413 is poured out כָאֵ֔שׁ H784 like fire וְהַצֻּרִ֖ים H6697 and the rocks נִתְּצ֥וּ H5422 are thrown down מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ H4480 at

⁷ ט֣וֹב H2896 good יְהוָ֔ה H3068 The LORD לְמָע֖וֹז H4581 a strong hold בְּי֣וֹם H3117 in the day צָרָ֑ה H6869 of trouble וְיֹדֵ֖עַ H3045 and he knoweth חֹ֥סֵי H2620 them that trust בֽוֹ׃ H0

⁸ וּבְשֶׁ֣טֶף H7858 flood עֹבֵ֔ר H5674 But with an overrunning כָּלָ֖ה H3617 an utter end יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה H6213 he will make מְקוֹמָ֑הּ H4725 of the place וְאֹיְבָ֖יו H341 his enemies יְרַדֶּף־ H7291 shall pursue חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ H2822 thereof and darkness

¹⁰ כִּ֚י H3588 for עַד־ H5704 Like סִירִ֣ים H5518 thorns סְבֻכִ֔ים H5440 For while folden together וּכְסָבְאָ֖ם H5435 drunkards סְבוּאִ֑ים H5433 and while they are drunken אֻ֨כְּל֔וּ H398 they shall be devoured כְּקַ֥שׁ H7179 as stubble יָבֵ֖שׁ H3002 dry מָלֵֽא׃ H4390 accomplish

¹¹ מִמֵּ֣ךְ H4480 at יָצָ֔א H3318 There is come out חֹשֵׁ֥ב H2803 of thee that imagineth עַל־ H5921 against יְהוָ֖ה H3068 against the LORD רָעָ֑ה H7451 evil יֹעֵ֖ץ H3289 counsellor בְּלִיָּֽעַל׃ H1100 a wicked ס

¹ עָלָ֥ה H5927 is come up מֵפִ֛יץ H6327 He that dasheth in pieces עַל־ H5921 against פָּנַ֖יִךְ H6440 before thy face נָצ֣וֹר H5341 keep מְצֻרָ֑ה H4694 the munition צַפֵּה־ H6822 watch דֶ֙רֶךְ֙ H1870 the way חַזֵּ֣ק H2388 strong מָתְנַ֔יִם H4975 make loins אַמֵּ֥ץ H553 fortify כֹּ֖חַ H3581 power מְאֹֽד׃ H3966 mightily

² כִּ֣י H3588 though שָׁ֤ב H7725 hath turned away יְהוָה֙ H3068 For the LORD אֶת־ H853 גְּא֣וֹן H1347 the excellency יַעֲקֹ֔ב H3290 of Jacob כִּגְא֖וֹן H1347 as the excellency יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 of Israel כִּ֤י H3588 though בְקָקוּם֙ H1238 for the emptiers בֹּֽקְקִ֔ים H1238 have emptied them out וּזְמֹרֵיהֶ֖ם H2156 their vine branches שִׁחֵֽתוּ׃ H7843 and marred

³ מָגֵ֨ן H4043 The shield גִּבֹּרֵ֜יהוּ H1368 of his mighty men מְאָדָּ֗ם H119 is made red אַנְשֵׁי־ H376 the warriors חַ֙יִל֙ H2428 the valiant מְתֻלָּעִ֔ים H8529 in scarlet בְּאֵשׁ־ H784 with flaming פְּלָד֥וֹת H6393 torches הָרֶ֖כֶב H7393 the chariots בְּי֣וֹם H3117 in the day הֲכִינ֑וֹ H3559 of his preparation וְהַבְּרֹשִׁ֖ים H1265 and the fir trees הָרְעָֽלוּ׃ H7477 shall be terribly shaken

⁴ בַּֽחוּצוֹת֙ H2351 in the streets יִתְהוֹלְל֣וּ H1984 shall rage הָרֶ֔כֶב H7393 The chariots יִֽשְׁתַּקְשְׁק֖וּן H8264 they shall justle one against another בָּרְחֹב֑וֹת H7339 in the broad ways מַרְאֵיהֶן֙ H4758 they shall seem כַּלַּפִּידִ֔ם H3940 like torches כַּבְּרָקִ֖ים H1300 like the lightnings יְרוֹצֵֽצוּ׃ H7323 they shall run

⁵ יִזְכֹּר֙ H2142 He shall recount אַדִּירָ֔יו H117 his worthies יִכָּשְׁל֖וּ H3782 they shall stumble <בַהֲלִכֹותָם כ> (בַּהֲלִֽיכָתָ֑ם H1979 company ק) יְמַֽהֲרוּ֙ H4116 they shall make haste חֽוֹמָתָ֔הּ H2346 to the wall וְהֻכַ֖ן H3559 shall be prepared הַסֹּכֵֽךְ׃ H5526 thereof and the defence

⁶ שַׁעֲרֵ֥י H8179 The gates הַנְּהָר֖וֹת H5104 of the rivers נִפְתָּ֑חוּ H6605 shall be opened וְהַֽהֵיכָ֖ל H1964 and the palace נָמֽוֹג׃ H4127 shall be dissolved

⁷ וְהֻצַּ֖ב H5324 And Huzzab גֻּלְּתָ֣ה H1540 shall be led away captive הֹֽעֲלָ֑תָה H5927 she shall be brought up וְאַמְהֹתֶ֗יהָ H519 and her maids מְנַֽהֲגוֹת֙ H5090 shall lead כְּק֣וֹל H6963 as with the voice יוֹנִ֔ים H3123 of doves מְתֹפְפֹ֖ת H8608 tabering עַל־ H5921 on לִבְבֵהֶֽן׃ H3824 upon their breasts

⁸ וְנִינְוֵ֥ה H5210 But Nineveh כִבְרֵֽכַת־ H1295 like a pool מַ֖יִם H4325 of water מִ֣ימֵי H3117 of old הִ֑יא H1931 he וְהֵ֣מָּה H1992 like נָסִ֔ים H5127 yet they shall flee away עִמְד֥וּ H5975 Stand עֲמֹ֖דוּ H5975 stand וְאֵ֥ין H369 no מַפְנֶֽה׃ H6437 but none shall look back

⁹ בֹּ֥זּוּ H962 Take ye the spoil כֶ֖סֶף H3701 of silver בֹּ֣זּוּ H962 take the spoil זָהָ֑ב H2091 of gold וְאֵ֥ין H369 there קֵ֙צֶה֙ H7097 for none end לַתְּכוּנָ֔ה H8498 of the store כָּבֹ֕ד H3519 glory מִכֹּ֖ל H3605 every כְּלִ֥י H3627 furniture חֶמְדָּֽה׃ H2532 out of all the pleasant

¹⁰ בּוּקָ֥ה H950 She is empty וּמְבוּקָ֖ה H4003 and void וּמְבֻלָּקָ֑ה H1110 and waste וְלֵ֨ב H3820 and the heart נָמֵ֜ס H4549 melteth וּפִ֣ק H6375 smite together בִּרְכַּ֗יִם H1290 and the knees וְחַלְחָלָה֙ H2479 and much pain בְּכָל־ H3605 the whole מָתְנַ֔יִם H4975 in all loins וּפְנֵ֥י H6440 and the faces כֻלָּ֖ם H3605 and all קִבְּצ֥וּ H6908 of them all gather פָארֽוּר׃ H6289 blackness

¹¹ אַיֵּה֙ H346 Where מְע֣וֹן H4583 Where the dwelling אֲרָי֔וֹת H738 of the lions וּמִרְעֶ֥ה H4829 and the feedingplace ה֖וּא H1931 he לַכְּפִרִ֑ים H3715 of the young lions אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 after הָלַךְ֩ H1980 walked אַרְיֵ֨ה H738 where the lion לָבִ֥יא H3833 the old lion שָׁ֛ם H8033 in it גּ֥וּר H1482 whelp אַרְיֵ֖ה H738 the lion's וְאֵ֥ין H369 nothing מַחֲרִֽיד׃ H2729 and none made afraid

¹² אַרְיֵ֤ה H738 The lion טֹרֵף֙ H2963 did tear in pieces בְּדֵ֣י H1767 enough גֹֽרוֹתָ֔יו H1484 for his whelps וּמְחַנֵּ֖ק H2614 and strangled לְלִבְאֹתָ֑יו H3833 for his lionesses וַיְמַלֵּא־ H4390 and filled טֶ֣רֶף H2964 with prey חֹרָ֔יו H2356 his holes וּמְעֹֽנֹתָ֖יו H4585 and his dens טְרֵפָֽה׃ H2966 with ravin

¹³ הִנְנִ֣י H2005 behold אֵלַ֗יִךְ H413 I am against נְאֻם֙ H5002 Behold I against thee saith יְהוָ֣ה H3068 the LORD צְבָא֔וֹת H6635 of hosts וְהִבְעַרְתִּ֤י H1197 and I will burn בֶֽעָשָׁן֙ H6227 in the smoke רִכְבָּ֔הּ H7393 her chariots וּכְפִירַ֖יִךְ H3715 thy young lions תֹּ֣אכַל H398 shall devour חָ֑רֶב H2719 and the sword וְהִכְרַתִּ֤י H3772 and I will cut off מֵאֶ֙רֶץ֙ H776 from the earth טַרְפֵּ֔ךְ H2964 thy prey וְלֹֽא־ H3808 and no יִשָּׁמַ֥ע H8085 shall no more be heard ע֖וֹד H5750 longer ק֥וֹל H6963 and the voice מַלְאָכֵֽכֵה׃ H4397 of thy messengers ס

² ק֣וֹל H6963 The noise שׁ֔וֹט H7752 of a whip וְק֖וֹל H6963 and the noise רַ֣עַשׁ H7494 of the rattling אוֹפָ֑ן H212 of the wheels וְס֣וּס H5483 horses דֹּהֵ֔ר H1725 and of the pransing וּמֶרְכָּבָ֖ה H4818 chariots מְרַקֵּדָֽה׃ H7540 and of the jumping

³ פָּרָ֣שׁ H6571 The horseman מַעֲלֶ֗ה H5927 lifteth up וְלַ֤הַב H3851 both the bright חֶ֙רֶב֙ H2719 sword וּבְרַ֣ק H1300 and the glittering חֲנִ֔ית H2595 spear וְרֹ֥ב H7230 and a multitude חָלָ֖ל H2491 of slain וְכֹ֣בֶד H3514 and a great פָּ֑גֶר H6297 number of carcases וְאֵ֥ין H369 none קֵ֙צֶה֙ H7097 and none end לַגְּוִיָּ֔ה H1472 of corpses <יִכְשְׁלוּ כ> (וְכָשְׁל֖וּ H3782 bereave ק) בִּגְוִיָּתָֽם׃ H1472 upon their corpses

⁴ מֵרֹב֙ H7230 Because of the multitude זְנוּנֵ֣י H2181 harlot זוֹנָ֔ה H2181 of the harlot ט֥וֹבַת H2896 one חֵ֖ן H2580 favour בַּעֲלַ֣ת H1172 the mistress כְּשָׁפִ֑ים H3785 of witchcrafts הַמֹּכֶ֤רֶת H4376 that selleth גּוֹיִם֙ H1471 nations בִּזְנוּנֶ֔יהָ H2183 of the whoredoms וּמִשְׁפָּח֖וֹת H4940 and families בִּכְשָׁפֶֽיהָ׃ H3785 through her witchcrafts

⁵ הִנְנִ֣י H2005 behold אֵלַ֗יִךְ H413 I am against נְאֻם֙ H5002 Behold I against thee saith יְהוָ֣ה H3068 the LORD צְבָא֔וֹת H6635 of hosts וְגִלֵּיתִ֥י H1540 and I will discover שׁוּלַ֖יִךְ H7757 thy skirts עַל־ H5921 over פָּנָ֑יִךְ H6440 upon thy face וְהַרְאֵיתִ֤י H7200 and I will shew גוֹיִם֙ H1471 the nations מַעְרֵ֔ךְ H4626 thy nakedness וּמַמְלָכ֖וֹת H4467 and the kingdoms קְלוֹנֵֽךְ׃ H7036 thy shame

⁶ וְהִשְׁלַכְתִּ֥י H7993 And I will cast עָלַ֛יִךְ H5921 and שִׁקֻּצִ֖ים H8251 abominable filth וְנִבַּלְתִּ֑יךְ H5034 upon thee and make thee vile וְשַׂמְתִּ֖יךְ H7760 and will set כְּרֹֽאִי׃ H7210 thee as a gazingstock

⁷ וְהָיָ֤ה H1961 will come כָל־ H3605 all רֹאַ֙יִךְ֙ H7200 And it shall come to pass all they that look יִדּ֣וֹד H5074 upon thee shall flee מִמֵּ֔ךְ H4480 at וְאָמַר֙ H559 from thee and say שָׁדְּדָ֣ה H7703 is laid waste נִֽינְוֵ֔ה H5210 Nineveh מִ֖י H4310 Who יָנ֣וּד H5110 who will bemoan לָ֑הּ H0 מֵאַ֛יִן H370 her? whence אֲבַקֵּ֥שׁ H1245 shall I seek מְנַחֲמִ֖ים H5162 comforters לָֽךְ׃ H0

⁸ הֲתֵֽיטְבִי֙ H3190 Art thou better מִנֹּ֣א H4996 No אָמ֔וֹן H528 multitude הַיֹּֽשְׁבָה֙ H3427 that was situate בַּיְאֹרִ֔ים H2975 among the rivers מַ֖יִם H4325 the waters סָבִ֣יב H5439 round about לָ֑הּ H0 אֲשֶׁר־ H834 her Whose חֵ֣יל H2426 it whose rampart יָ֔ם H3220 the sea מִיָּ֖ם H3220 the sea חוֹמָתָֽהּ׃ H2346 her wall

⁹ כּ֥וּשׁ H3568 Ethiopia עָצְמָ֛ה H6109 her strength וּמִצְרַ֖יִם H4714 and Egypt וְאֵ֣ין H369 without קֵ֑צֶה H7097 limits פּ֣וּט H6316 Put וְלוּבִ֔ים H3864 and Lubim הָי֖וּ H1961 were among בְּעֶזְרָתֵֽךְ׃ H5833 were thy helpers

¹⁰ גַּם־ H1571 Yet הִ֗יא H1931 he לַגֹּלָה֙ H1473 Yet she carried away הָלְכָ֣ה H1980 she went בַשֶּׁ֔בִי H7628 into captivity גַּ֧ם H1571 Also עֹלָלֶ֛יהָ H5768 her young children יְרֻטְּשׁ֖וּ H7376 also were dashed in pieces בְּרֹ֣אשׁ H7218 at the top כָּל־ H3605 of every חוּצ֑וֹת H2351 of all the streets וְעַל־ H5921 for נִכְבַּדֶּ֙יהָ֙ H3513 for her honourable men יַדּ֣וּ H3032 and they cast גוֹרָ֔ל H1486 lots וְכָל־ H3605 and all גְּדוֹלֶ֖יהָ H1419 and all her great men רֻתְּק֥וּ H7576 were bound בַזִּקִּֽים׃ H2131 in chains

¹¹ גַּם־ H1571 too אַ֣תְּ H859 you תִּשְׁכְּרִ֔י H7937 Thou also shalt be drunken תְּהִ֖י H1961 become נַֽעֲלָמָ֑ה H5956 thou shalt be hid גַּם־ H1571 too אַ֛תְּ H859 you תְּבַקְשִׁ֥י H1245 thou also shalt seek מָע֖וֹז H4581 strength מֵאוֹיֵֽב׃ H341 because of the enemy

¹² כָּ֨ל־ H3605 All מִבְצָרַ֔יִךְ H4013 All thy strong holds תְּאֵנִ֖ים H8384 fig trees עִם־ H5973 with בִּכּוּרִ֑ים H1061 with the firstripe figs אִם־ H518 lo יִנּ֕וֹעוּ H5128 if they be shaken וְנָפְל֖וּ H5307 they shall even fall עַל־ H5921 and פִּ֥י H6310 into the mouth אוֹכֵֽל׃ H398 of the eater

¹³ הִנֵּ֨ה H2009 Behold עַמֵּ֤ךְ H5971 Behold thy people נָשִׁים֙ H802 of thee women בְּקִרְבֵּ֔ךְ H7130 in the midst לְאֹ֣יְבַ֔יִךְ H341 unto thine enemies פָּת֥וֹחַ H6605 shall be set wide נִפְתְּח֖וּ H6605 open שַׁעֲרֵ֣י H8179 the gates אַרְצֵ֑ךְ H776 of thy land אָכְלָ֥ה H398 shall devour אֵ֖שׁ H784 the fire בְּרִיחָֽיִך׃ H1280 thy bars

¹⁴ מֵ֤י H4325 thee waters מָצוֹר֙ H4692 for the siege שַֽׁאֲבִי־ H7579 Draw לָ֔ךְ H0 חַזְּקִ֖י H2388 fortify מִבְצָרָ֑יִךְ H4013 thy strong holds בֹּ֧אִי H935 go בַטִּ֛יט H2916 into clay וְרִמְסִ֥י H7429 and tread בַחֹ֖מֶר H2563 the morter הַחֲזִ֥יקִי H2388 make strong מַלְבֵּֽן׃ H4404 the brickkiln
