1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by God's will to God's people at Ephesus and to the faithful in Christ Jesus.
2 May grace and peace be yours from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ,
4 just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy and blameless before him in love,
5 having decided beforehand about us for adoption through Jesus Christ to himself according to the kind pleasure of his will.
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has graciously accepted us in the beloved
7 in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace,
8 which he profusely gave to us, in total wisdom and insight.
9 He made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, which he decided in himself,
10 a plan for the "fullness of times" to gather all things in Christ, both the things in heaven and the things on earth in him.
11 In him we were made a heritage, decided in advance, according to the plan of him who does everything according to the intent of his will,
12 that we, who first trusted in Christ, would be for the praising of his glory.
13 In whom you also trusted, after you had heard the Word of Truth, the gospel of your salvation. In whom after you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of [God's] purchased possession, to the praise of his glory.
15 Therefore when I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all God's people,
16 I haven't stopped giving thanks for you making mention of you in my prayers,
17 so that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him,
18 that the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of his calling and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in God's people,
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us who believe according to the working of his mighty power,
20 which he did through Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.
21 [He is] far above all top authorities, strong authorities, powers, and lords, and [he is far above] every name that is mentioned, not only in this world but also in that which is to come.
22 He has put everything under his feet and given him to be the head of everything in the church,
23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything of everything.
1 You were dead because of sinful errors and sins,
2 in which you lived in the past according this world's way, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience.
3 Among whom we also lived our life in the past, in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, by nature we were children of wrath even as others.
4 But God who is rich in mercy, for his great love in which he loved us,
5 even when we were dead because of sins, he has made us alive with Christ, for you are saved by grace.
6 He has raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For you are saved by grace through faith, and that thing is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has planned that we should live our lives doing them.
11 Therefore remember that you in the past, Gentiles by nature, who are labeled uncircumcision by those who are called the Circumcision (by man's hands) by nature.
12 For at that time you were without Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and without a share in the Covenants of Promise, having no hope and without God in the world,
13 but now in Christ Jesus you who at one time were far away are brought close by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who made both one and has broken down the separating wall between us.
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, the Law of Commandments, containing rules, for this purpose to make by himself one from two, making peace, Eph 2:16 that he might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross, killing the enmity by it.

17 He came and preached peace to you, who are far away and to those that were close.
18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
19 Now therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners but fellow citizens with God's people and God's household.
20 You are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone,
21 in whom the whole building expertly framed together grows into a holy temple in the Lord,
22 and in whom you also are being built together for a living place for God through the Spirit.
1 For this reason I, Paul, [am] prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles.
2 For surely you have heard of giving of managerial responsibility regarding God's grace, which is given to me for you.
3 How he made known to me the mystery by revelation, as I've written to you briefly before.
4 About which when you read, may you understand my knowledge in the mystery about Christ.
5 Which in other ages was not made know to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.
6 That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.
7 For which I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace given to me by the mighty working of his power.
8 To me who am less than the least of all of God's people, is this grace given that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.
9 Also to give to all light what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world has been hidden by God who created everything through Jesus Christ.
10 For the purpose that now the top authorities and powers in heavenly places might learn through the congregation the manifold wisdom of God.
11 According to the eternal purpose which he planned through Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through his faith.
13 Therefore I wish that you don't grow weak from my tribulations for you which is for your benefit.
14 For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.
16 That he would grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthen with might by his Spirit in the inner man.
17 That Christ may live in your hearts by faith, that you might be rooted and ground in love.
18 May be able to understand with all God's people what is the breadth, length, depth, and height.
19 And to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who is able to do way above all that we do or think according to the power that works in us.
21 To him be glory in the congregation by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, forever and forever. Amen
1 Therefore I, the prisoner for the Lord, plead with you that you live a life worthy of the calling by which you are called.
2 With all humility, gentleness, and long suffering, calmly tolerating one another in love.
3 Doing your best to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you're called to one hope of your calling.
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism.
6 One God and Father of all, who is over all, through all, and in you all.
7 Yet to every one of us is given the grace according to the correct measure of the gift of Christ.
8 Therefore he says, "When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts to people.
9 Now this "he ascended" implies that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth.
10 He who descended is the same one who also ascended far above all heavens that he might fulfill all.
11 He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,
12 for the equipping of God's people for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
13 until we all come into the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God into a full, complete man, into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
14 so that we would no more be children tossed back and forth and carried off by every wind of doctrine by the cunning deception and sneaky craftiness of men.
15 Instead be speaking the truth in love. We must grow up into Him in everything who is the Head, that is, Christ.
16 From whom the whole body is harmoniously joined together and united by every joint's contribution according to what is required for efficiency from each part; this causes growth of the body into building itself up in love.
17 Therefore I speak this and bear witness in the Lord, that from now on you walk not like other Gentiles walk in the emptiness of their mind.
18 Having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.
19 Who being callous gave themselves over to lustful pleasure to do every kind of impurity with insatiable desire.
20 But you haven't learned Christ in this way.
21 If you learned Him and been taught by Him, then, as the truth is in Jesus,
22 Get rid of the former lifestyle, the old man, which is rotten from deceitful lusts.
23 Instead be renewed in the spirit of your mind.
24 Put on the new man, which according to God's [likeness] is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25 For this reason do away with lying; every one speaking truth to his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
26 When you are angry, do not sin; don't let the sun set on your anger.
27 Don't give an opportunity to the devil.
28 Let him who stole, steal no more, but let him work, laboring with his hands what is good, so that he may have something to give to him who is in need.
29 Don't let any rotten language come out of your mouth, instead that which is good to use for building up, so that it may administer grace to the hearers.
30 Don't grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by which you are sealed for the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, angry shouting, verbal abuse be put far away from you along with all spite.
32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.
1 Therefore be followers of God like beloved children.
2 Walk in love like Christ also loved us and gave himself as an offering for us and a sacrifice to God to be a fragrant odor.
3 Fornication, all impurity, and greed should ever be even once named among you since you are conspicuously God's people.
4 Nor yet obscenity, silly talk, or ribald humor, which are not proper, instead having thankful speech, is far better.
5 You know this: that no male prostitute, impure, or covetous (who is an idolater) person has any type of inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Don't let anyone deceive you with empty words, for because of these things God's hot anger comes on the children of disobedience.
7 Therefore don't be partakers with them.
8 For at one time you were darkness, but now light in the Lord, so live as children of light.
9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
10 Testing things [to see if] they are acceptable to the Lord.
11 Do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness rather reprove them.
12 For it is shameful even to talk about those things, which are done by them in secret.
13 Everything reproved is made public by the light, for whatever makes them public knowledge is light.
14 Therefore he says: "Awake you sleeper and rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light."
15 See to it that you diligently walk not as fools but as wise.
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore don't be unwise but comprehend the meaning of what the will of the Lord is.
18 Do not be drunk with wine, which is immoral excess, instead be filled with the Spirit:
19 Speaking among yourselves in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing and making music in your heart to the Lord,
20 Giving thanks always to God and the Father for all things in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
21 Submitting yourselves to one another in the fear of God.
22 Wives submit yourselves to your own husbands as to the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the congregation; he is the savior of the body.
24 Therefore since the congregation is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the congregation even giving himself for her.
26 So that he might make her holy and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious congregation not having a spot or a wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without a blemish.
28 So men ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 For no man has ever hated his own flesh but takes care of it and cherishes it, as the Lord [does for] the congregation.
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife, and the two of them will be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery, but I am talking about Christ and his congregation.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you so love his wife even as himself, and the wife see that she respects her husband.
1 Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise.
3 So that it will be well with you, and that you may live a long time on the earth.
4 Fathers do not provoke your children to anger, instead bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5 Servants be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh with deep respect and trembling in single loyalty of your heart as to Christ.
6 Not pleasing them only when they are watching, instead be servants of Christ doing God's will from the heart,
7 with a cheerful willingness doing your work as to the Lord and not to men.
8 Knowing that whatever good thing any one does, he will receive from the Lord, whether he is a freeman or slave.
9 Masters you must do the same to them, stay away from threatening, knowing that your Master is also in heaven, neither is there any partiality with him.
10 Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand the wiles of the Devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against the highest spiritual forces, powers, rulers of darkness of the world, and spiritual wickedness in the heavenlies.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to resist on that evil day, and after doing everything possible to still stand.
14 Therefore stand having truth fasten around your loins and having the breastplate of righteousness on.
15 And your feet shod, prepared by the gospel of peace.
16 Most importantly taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts from the wicked.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
18 Always be praying in spirit with all prayer and requests, and be alert in the same with full perseverance and request for all God's people
19 and for me, so that a message may be given to me, so that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel.
20 For which I am an ambassador in prison, that in there I may speak boldly as I should speak.
21 So that you may know what is going on with me and how I am doing, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make known to you all things.
22 Whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, so that you may know what is going on, and that he might comfort your hearts.
23 May peace be to the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 May grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
