¹⁸ For 01063 if 01487 the inheritance 02817 is by 01537 the law 03551, it is no more 03765 by 01537 promise 01860: but 01161 God 02316 gave 05483 it to Abraham 011 by 01223 promise 01860.

¹⁹ What purpose 05101 then 03767 serveth the law 03551? It was added 04369 because of 05484 transgressions 03847, till 0891, 3739 the seed 04690 should come 02064 to whom 03739 the promise was made 01861; and it was ordained 01299 by 01223 angels 032 in 01722 the hand 05495 of a mediator 03316.

²¹ Is the law 03551 then 03767 against 02596 the promises 01860 of God 02316? By no means 03361, 1096: for 01063 if 01487 there had been 01325 a law 03551 given 01325 which 03588 could 01410 have given life 02227, verily 03689 righteousness 01343 should 0302 have been 02258 by 01537 the law 03551.

²² But 0235 the scripture 01124 hath concluded 04788 all 03956 under 05259 sin 0266, that 02443 the promise 01860 by 01537 faith 04102 of Jesus 02424 Christ 05547 might be given 01325 to them that believe 04100.
