The purpose of the resource is to create an independent platform for a free exchange of views on the ways of developing the religious community. Intellectual discussions and bold discussions of vital problems of the church, human rights activities and expert analysis of trends, development of concepts of interconfessional and state-church cooperation are just a few of the portal's activities. Among the authors of the site are representatives of different beliefs: from Christian liberals to traditionalists. At present, Baznica-Info ('baznica' in Latvian means 'church') is one of the most visited religious resources of the Baltic States. The news and articles of the portal are reprinted by leading news agencies in Russia, Ukraine and Europe, and we are also included in the monitoring list of the Library of Congress. In 2007, the site entered the international level and has correspondents in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, USA, Spain, Ireland and other countries. For today the main edition in Riga works, and also correspondent points in Kiev and Moscow. In the near future, the opening of full-fledged representative offices in Belarus and Russia.
