Selecting a web-studio

Step 1 - Design

We are looking at the portfolio, that is, web studios. For example, our web studio makes sites with very different designs, each new site does not repeat the previous one. But still, you can see the style that is inherent in us. In fact, if you do not need a design, then why order something on web studios?
So, we choose a design that we like.

Step 2 - authorship

We can assign any sites to ourselves, but how can we make sure that they are really created by us?

For example, to the sites that our web studio created <, we put the link below the web studio Ph4, click on it and get to us. Of course, we leave the right to our clients to decide whether to have this link or not. This is their site and we do not want to litter it with unwanted advertising.

In any case, there is a place on each site for the author's autograph - go to the page of the site and open View/View HTML-code (for Internet Explorer) View/Source text (Opera) View/Original Page Pages (Mozilla Fifefox) and there you will see an autograph in the meta tags, ex.

        <META name="author" Content="Yakovlev Vladimir Arsenievich">
        <META name="copyright" Content="Web studio Ph4">
        <META name=Robots content="all">
        <META name="Publisher-URL" Content="https://www.ph4.org">

Step 3 - Reliability

Check the reliability of this address on the network. Today there is a huge number of web-studios from super-expensive to super-cheap (schoolchildren do according to templates). If web studios do not have work, if it's a one-day butterfly, then you should think about the purpose for which they were created.

There is one subtlety. When paying online, you can:

  • Full prepayment - and then why do something, because the money has already been received?
  • pay for the result - and why pay if everyone has already given you?
And that's how this question is solved. A 50% advance payment is made, and the good name of the firm is the guarantee of reliability. For example, the studio took money and threw you. And you, as a "deceived investor" in forums and blogs, inform the public about what you think about this studio. And this studio has little chance of rising. Except that: check WebMoney Attestat WebMoney
  1. Take a new studio name,
  2. change the logo, and hence the design of the site,
  3. Buy a new domain,
  4. if it touched WebMoney, then and another individual,
  5. and re-untwist (on what will take months, but most likely years).
Expensive price for some sort of untwisted studio. For example, we made the first works free, then for half the price, and then the confidence of the customers came. A butterfly has nothing to lose and lose.

Still here we touched WebMoney. The fact is that in order to get a certificate of the seller, you need a lawyer, photocopies of your passport, pay. And you can spoil the profile. Even if you are not going to pay through this system, look at the certificate.

Step 4 - Working with the client

We come into contact, ask questions. Most likely, you will not get a satisfying answer right away, but understanding will be built. If you are immediately rude or will not respond. Imagine what will happen next? So and stay away from those. And if there is patience, understanding and ability to explain, then this is your studio (provided that the style of design has already approached you and this is not the left studio).

Step 5 - Payment

Site is ordered, as a rule, by the organization, and therefore there is a need to document documents, posting payments through the bank. On serious web studios there will be no questions with this. But any web-studio has a number of ways of payment through the Internet to choose from.

We already spoke about financial reliability. Now the question of price.
If you need a name, order a site from Artem Lebedev and it will be at least twice as expensive as any other web studios.
If you do not want to pay extra, then you should make a detailed description of the order and consult about the cost. Let it not be a mediocre description, like "forum, guest, chat ..." something real, then and get a real answer. If you write a non-realistic application, I will easily give you a price that you like, and as a result, you sign a contract with us. Then you will issue this application and receive the price that we like.

Step 6 - Budget

Determine the budget of the site:
  1. site production - what we discussed in step 5,
  2. Hosting payment,
  3. payment of a domain name,
  4. site support
As a rule, a decent web studio will explain to you what it is and will offer you something. A bad web studio either does not explain, or does not offer anything.

Determining the cost of ordering a site, you need to consider the possibility of updating. Here there are options:

  1. You want the web studio to support the site. Usually such support costs 1000 rub. Per month.
  2. You want to have the opportunity to yourself to update the site without having knowledge of web programming - such a site costs about $1,000.
  3. You want to update some part of the site without programming knowledge, but that it is not very expensive.
  4. You want someone to constantly maintain the site, in which case you need to hire a web programmer and then let it and make you a website that will be cheaper.
We usually ask for point 1 (which is more convenient for us), but we then offer item 2 because it will give speed.

The key is to support the site, if you want to create a cool site, but you and your employees have no time to serve it, it will be like a neglected garden.
