7 - the number of time

The first commandment of God given to his people is "make Me a feast."
God gave the people of Israel 7 holidays: a spring group of holidays, a holiday in the summer and an autumn group of holidays.
The Feast of Pentecost Shavuot (correctly translate weeks, and literally called Seven), that is seven sevens - 7X7=49 days from Pesach.

Autumn holidays are up from spring for 7 months and autumn from spring for 7 months. That is, the state new year in the fall, means the Easter month of the 7th. And vice versa - a religious year in spring, means autumn holidays in the 7th month from Pesach.

And this shall be an everlasting decree for you: in the seventh month, in the tenth [day] month, humble your souls and do not do any thing, neither the native, nor the stranger who has settled among you, (Lev.16:29)

This month is yours for the beginning of the months, the first [yeah] [it will be] you between months year. (Exo.12:2)

Saying that in Israel 2 New Year. There is nothing unusual there. In our countries, too, the beginning of the year:

  • January 1 is a calendar new year,
  • September 1 is an academic year.
Well, and do not forget about the Sabbath. God's commandment is to rest once a week. Judea rests on Saturday, Christians on Sunday, Muslims on Friday. The weekend can be on different days, but in all nations the week is 7 days.
